- Let me explain.
-
- I want to connect a modem to a device that has a receive only serial
- port that is listening at a fixed rate (can be jumper set to 9600,
- 14400, or 28800). Are there any modems available that I can fix the
- serial port rate (to match the device) via jumpers or dip switches?
-
- I've tried talking to the device with a USR sportster v.34 and can't get
- it to work; I presume because it can't communicate with the serial port
- it's atttached to to negotiate a baud rate.
-
- Any help or pointers would be appreciated.
